The term detoxification is shortened to ‘detox’ for faster recognition of the word. It is a process where the body removes toxin or waste materials out of the body through use of natural methods such as the different type detoxification or detox.
Toxins enter the body through external sources like drugs, pesticides, cigarette smoking, food additives or preservatives, chemical-based household cleansers, and pollution. These dangerous substances are inhaled or ingested.
A diet detox is defined as a diet that is planned to help a type of treatment that requires elimination of waste or toxic materials out of the body. Maintaining a toxin-free body may lead to good health.
There are different types of detox diets. The body is provided with foods that have high fiber, rich in vitamins and nutrients, and oxidants to promote regular frequency in the bowel and urine movement. This way, chemicals that are ingested by body will be quickly reduced.
Here are some benefits of detox diet programs:
– improved digestion
– clean and clear skin
– enhanced energy
– enhanced concentration
– clean body system
Who can have a detox? Not all people are qualified to use any detox program. You have to consult a health professional or a medical doctor. Pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children should not have detox diet. Also, people with anemia, diabetes, thyroid disease, eating disorder, autoimmune disease, cancer, terminal illness, certain genetic diseases, and other chronic conditions are not recommended to go into any detox programs.
Keep in mind that alcohol and drug detoxifications are not supported by the any type of detox.
Why you should have detox? There are many kinds of chemicals that get deposited in the fat cells of the body through ingestion of food and water, and inhalation of air. Due to high prices of food, people tend to buy and eat food with low or lacking with nutrient content. Natural nutrients help the body dexotify chemicals so this ability is impaired with unhealthy eating and drinking habits.
Large lead deposits in the body are associated to impairment of immune function, hormone imbalance, nutritionally deficient, and low metabolism. People with this so-called ‘body burden’ may also suffer from chronic muscle pain, indigestion, and bad breath.
With detox diet, you will eat only fruits, vegetables and foods that are unprocessed. These foods are high in fiber and rich in vitamins so they will be able to exterminate the environmental toxins that got transferred to the body.
This type of detox diet will not let you consume any kind of meat, fish, alcohol or any stimulant like coffee. However, after having the detox diet, you may eat a moderate amount of meat, and lots of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from processed foods.
When following a detox diet, you may get rid of the following: dull skin, muscle aches and pains, fatigue, weight gain, and lowered immunity.
