As much as most recognize the need to fight bad breath, it is not easy at all to let go of some of the bad habits that cause it. There is a saying that goes, “How can it be wrong when it feels so good?” This holds true for a lot of the things that trigger bad breath. It will take a lot of effort on anyone’s part to win this battle.
One nasty habit that people have a massive hard time letting go of is smoking and drinking. Smoking which I really do not understand appeals to a lot of people. All that puffing and exhaling of smoke is just sheer non sense. Most of the people that smoke are high school students and professionals.
In terms of gender, majority of women smoke. So why do people smoke? Stress is the most common factor associated with people who smoke. Drinking on the other hand is almost the same as smoking. People drink for company and sheer pleasure. These two culprits can cause lung cancer, a bloated tummy, and possible brain damage if abused to ungodly levels. These two have also been shown to be bringers of halitosis. So if you want to get way ahead in the campaign to fight bad breath, you need to be a man and say “no” when these two come knocking at your door. If you feel that you cannot do the battle alone, seek the advice and support of friend and loved ones.
Another nasty habit that needs to be kicked to the curb as well is unhealthy eating. Most people because of very hectic work schedules find it very hard to watch what they eat and they eat about anything. Medical and dental related studies have shown that food rich in protein content can eventually lead to bad breath. Now most of you think that you need to butcher yourself and stop eating protein.
This is not the case. One great way to control the effect that protein may have on your breath is to just simply add fruit to your diet. Bodybuilders practice this as a means to speed the digestion process of their protein. Protein only contributes to bad breath when it has stayed in your stomach for too long. So if your metabolism is a bit delayed, you need fruit to hasten its digestion. In addition, fruit is a great deodorizer so make sure that you add fruit as an integral part of your diet. All that was mentioned will surely effectively aid all of us in our campaign to fight bad breath.
