Does Your Mouth Smell? Find Out in Under a

[ad_1]

A bad mouth smell is often detectable by everyone but us. That’s because we get used to our own odors (even bad ones) very quickly and they don’t bother us. However, most people find others’ bad breath offensive. Therefore, it’s a good idea to know for sure if you have it or not.

With that said, here are 3 quick ways to find out if your mouth is fresh:

1. Lick the back of your hand and wait 15-20 seconds for the saliva to dry. Then take a whiff. Now, all saliva has some kind of odor, however, if the smell is particularly bad then most likely you have bad breath (you’ll see how to fix it shortly).

2. Go to mirror and stick out your tongue as far as it will go. Check it carefully to see if it’s white (particularly in the back or base). If it is, then that’s a sign that you could have bad breath. Also, keep in mind that this can happen when your mouth is dry. A dry mouth is more likely to smell but that can easily be solved with a tall glass of water.

3. Of course, to be absolutely sure, you should ask someone close to you: someone who can give you an honest opinion. Just ask them to make note while you talk to them from three feet (at most) away. That will definitely give you the answer you’re looking for.

Now even if your tests come out positive, don’t despair. There are many ways to get rid of bad breath: some temporary and some permanent. But nevertheless, it’s a problem that can easily be solved.
